Homicide is the killing of a person or human being. Murder is the unlawful
killing of another with malice aforethought. Homicide may be as a result
of Murder which is an intentional act accompanied by malice, or be as a result
of voluntary manslaughter, which is in the heat of passion, or it could be as a
result of involuntary manslaughter, which is the unlawful killing of another
without malice, but with criminal negligence. Reckless homicide is the
killing of another through the use of a motor vehicle while driving with a
reckless disregard for the safety of others.
Homicide may be an accident. If the killing is an accident then no crime
has been committed.
